Founder transition
When a founder hands over day-to-day decisions.
Mark helps build the leadership system that takes them on, without losing the judgment, pace and customer understanding that built the company.
B7i is the advisory practice of Mark Bednarski, who has run companies as President and COO and taken three through a change of ownership in five years. He works with a small number of companies at a time and serves on three startup advisory boards.
Transformation fails when it is treated as a series of isolated functional initiatives. B7i designs the interfaces, decision rights, cadence, systems, and accountability that allow the enterprise to operate as one.
Design principle: AI is not a bolt-on initiative. It becomes operational when it is embedded in the workflows, decisions, controls, economics, and accountability of the business.
Mark works with founder-led and private equity-backed companies at the moments he has led as an executive.

After an investment.
Mark helps turn the investment thesis into operating priorities, governance and cadence, and supports the leadership team through execution.
When AI has to change economics, decisions or customer outcomes.
Mark puts the data, controls, ownership and workflows in place to run it in daily operations.
When the structure no longer fits the strategy.
Mark aligns roles, capacity, incentives and decision rights so the company decides faster, with less friction.
After a deal closes.
Mark brings teams, systems, governance and operating rhythm into one company while protecting customers, delivery and the value behind the transaction.
When the operating model is fragmented.
Mark resets it around measurable outcomes and stays through execution until it holds without him.
